New products will test Hong Kong food markets at the Hong Kong Food Expo 2013

A wide variety of new food and beverage products will first appear at the 24^th^ edition of theHong Kong Food Expo, which will be staged in Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) on August 15-19, 2013.

Organized by Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC),the annual extravaganza attracts exhibitors from all over the world. This year it welcomes new participants from Guam, Saudi Arabia, Greece and Poland.

The Fair will showcase different kinds of food and beverage products from all over the world – with such offerings as caviar, Wagyu beef, foie gras, fine wine, premium coffee and deluxe ice-cream.

Some exhibitors told the reporter they will display their new products in theexhibition. “You cannot buy them in Hong Kong market now, an exhibitor said, “We’re dipping our toes in the water.

To attract more customers during the exhibition, many booths launch big sales promotion, such as HK$1 sales promotion, gift and discount promotion.

The fair attracted more than 390,000 visitors last year. Chou Kai-Leung, a Deputy Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) said, “Hope the 24^th^ edition can break through 400,000.

Inaddition,the HKTDC Hong Kong International Tea Fair and the International Conference & Exhibition of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine & Health Products (ICMCM) will take place concurrently at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
