Philippines hosts int'l forum on Information, Communication Technology

A two-day international forum on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) among educators ended Tuesday in Metro Manila, Philippines, where participants shared their best practices and future plans in the said field.

During the forum, the participating countries, such as the Philippines, Indonesia, Brunei, Colombia, Korea and Mongolia showcased their various ICT programs, said Education Assistant Secretary Jesus Mateo.

The forum was concluded with the launching ceremony of the ICT- based Pilot Classroom in Paranaque National High School (PNHS) in Metro Manila.

PNHS was chosen to pilot-test the development and management of an information and communication (ICT)based classroom, as provided within the ambit of the Memorandum of Agreement signed between the Philippine Department of Education (DepEd) and the Korean Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST).
