Two die in light transport aircraft crash in Czech Republic

A light transport plane crashed Tuesday near the Diama plant in North Bohemian vicinity of Ceska Lipa in Czech Republic, leaving two people on board dead, regional emergency service said.

Regional emergency service spokesman Michael Georgiev said the ill-fated two sustained fatal injuries. Firefighters and emergency service staff did not find anyone else in the surrounding area.

Police spokeswoman Ivana Balakova said the twin-engined Cessna 421 light transport aircraft, on its way from Pribram, Czech Republic to Poland, went down and caught fire.

Balakova said the identities of the two victims are still unknown and the cause of the accident is under investigation.
