The flights of Tehran's Mehrabad International Airport were cancelled on Sunday because of heavy snowfall in the capital of Iran, semi-official Mehr news agency reported.
"The horizontal view of the runway has been reduced to 500 meters at the present time," Mehrabad Aviation Center said in a statement carried by Mehr.
When the standard horizontal view of the runway is reached, the flights can resume and a notice will be issued in this regard, the statement added.
Tehran has two international airports. Mehrabad Airport is mostly used for domestic flights.
