Pet-friendly hotels in Seoul

More and more guests are graveling with their pets, but doing so can be a hassle because of pets' particular needs.

Thus, many hotels here and around the world are allowing guests to bring their pets and offering pet-friendly services.

At Four Seasons Hotel Seoul in downtown Seoul, guests' pets can have a space in the room for an extra 250,000 won. The hotel also offers a variety of pet amenities, including an embroidered toy bone, name tag, sleeping mat, no-skid dog bowl and feeding mattress. The "Love that Dog" package at Sheraton Seoul Palace Gangnam Hotel is available through the year. The package includes a night's stay in a deluxe triple room, which is spacious enough for guests with a dog, with a balcony and for the pet, the use of a Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed, stainless water and food bowls and floor mat, as well as a complimentary welcome dog kit that includes pet waste bags.

The dog should weigh under 10 kilograms and should be on a leash or in a carrier when outside of the room, but still inside the hotel property, in particular the restaurants and bars. The package costs 150,000 won per night plus an extra 120,000 won extra for the cleaning of the room. The price doesn't include service fees and taxes. Hotel Cappuccino in southern Seoul has six rooms dedicated to guests with pets. The so-called Bark rooms have wooden floors, as well as a pet bed, toys, sleep gown and teeth cleaning products. The hotel also prepares pet food without salt and preservatives. A guest is allowed up to two dogs, each of which should weigh under 10 kilograms. Café Terrace on the first floor allows pets and sells pet items. Part of the proceeds from Bark room reservations is donated to the Korea Animal Rights Advocates. Aloft Seoul Gangnam in southern Seoul also welcomes guests with pets. The hotel offers pet amenities, such as a pet bed, toys and feeders. A guest is allowed up to two pets. The room with one pet costs 132,000 won and 165,000 won with two. For more information and reservations, call (02) 510-9700.
