Sri Lanka on Sunday released seven Chinese nationals arrested for violating local visa regulations.
The seven Chinese nationals employed in the North Western town of Aruwakkalu had been arrested on Friday without valid visas.
The Police said that the seven Chinese nationals were employed at the Aruwakkalu solid waste management facility.
The Chinese nationals were arrested by the community Police unit in the area and handed over to the Wanathawilluwa Police for further investigations.
They were to be produced before the Puttalam Magistrate and freed on bail.
