One Chinese killed, 25 injured in Thailand tour bus crash

A 10-year-old Chinese boy was killed and 25 others were injured when a tour bus overturned in Thailand, local media reported.

The incident occurred at around 11:00 p.m. on Monday, when a tour bus with 27 Chinese tourists on board failed to stop upon approaching a curve on a downhill road to their hotel at Patong beach, a famous resort in Thailand.

It is not clear what caused the incident and the bus driver has been detained by the police for further questioning.

A similar accident happened at Patong Hill on June 30, when a tour bus carrying Chinese tourists crashed into a concrete wall at the foot of the hill, leaving one person dead and 26 injured.
