Three kids killed, 6 injured in truck-horse buggy crash in U.S.

Three children died and six other people were seriously injured when a pickup truck hit a horse-drawn buggy in the U.S. state of Michigan on Sunday.

The pickup struck the rear of the carriage with nine people riding inside at the time of the collision, Fox 17 quoted Michigan State Police as saying.

Three children, aged from seven to twelve, were killed and the carriage was demolished.

Six other buggy occupants were rushed to local hospitals. They were reportedly in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

The truck driver was not hurt but his pickup sustained extensive damage in the crash, which took place on a road near Sheridan village in central Michigan.

Michigan State Police have started investigation into the accident.
