Myanmar State Counselor's Office has condemned Friday's terrorist attacks on the security forces in northern Rakhine state.

Honoring members of the security forces and police for bravely performing their duties, a statement of the state counselor's office issued late Friday vowed to stand by those who sacrificed their lives for the country.

The statement said the terrorist attacks were systematically plotted to cripple the efforts for peace, stability and coexistence of the local communities, insisting that the determined efforts would not waver in anyway due to atrocious acts of brutality of extreme terrorists.

The statement voiced commitment to find effective solution with regard to the issues in Rakhine state through pragmatic and durable methods, while welcome the constructive approach of the final report of the Advisory Commission on Rakhine state, led by former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.

Militants launched renewed attacks on 30 police outposts in northern Rakhine in the early hours on Friday, killing 12 security personnel and one immigration officer.
