An Adele superfan is asking the singer for "a cup of tea" after she tried to see her perform at three separate concerts in six years but all the gigs ended up being cancelled.

Lori Shortall, a music teacher from Newfoundland in Canada, has shared a post on Facebook, complaining about having spent nearly £6,000 travelling around to axed shows and never managing to see her live.

Last weekend, Adele cancelled her last two Wembley gigs on doctor's orders, and said she may never tour again, adding that it is something she isn't "good at".

Shortall wrote: "Adele this is the THIRD concert you have cancelled on me!!!

"Houston (2011), Phoenix (2016) and London (2017)," the superfan said, adding she has travelled nearly 20,000 miles around the world to try and see her favourite singer live.

"I am broke from travelling around to cancelled concerts. My students are going to be so disappointed," she said.

"I know it's my own choice to travel to see you but this is unbelievable! I still haven't seen you in concert and I estimate I have forked out almost $10000 now."

"Help a girl out!!!! All I want is 5 minutes of your time and a cup of tea!!!"

The teacher also tagged celebrities like James Corden and Ellen DeGeneres on her posts, trying to gather sympathy for her cause.

"I've had so much bad luck that I think I'm going to go out and buy a lottery ticket, because it has to change at some point," she told The Sun.

"I do not blame Adele at all. She has to look after her voice and she must feel really bad," she added.

"But I just cannot believe all three concerts I have booked to see have been cancelled. I really would love to see her one day."
