One killed, 10 injured in NE China train-truck collision

A driver of a passenger train died and ten others were injured after a passenger train collided with a coal-loaded truck on Thursday in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, local authorities said.

The collision occurred at 2:25 a.m. Thursday in Jiamusi City when No.4137 passenger train hit the truck at a rail crossing, said local railway authorities.

One driver of the train died and two other drivers were injured. Eight passengers were slightly injured. The injured have all been sent to hospitals for treatment or medical observation.

The driver of the truck was held by police. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
