PHNOM PENH, Aug. 23 (APD) - More than 200 exhibitors from machinery industry and textile and garment industry sectors showcased their products to the publics for four days at Koh Pich Convention Hall, providing the key insiders' chances to see the latest technology and innovation of products.
Kicked off from August 22 and last 25, the 2019 Cambodia International Machinery Industry Fair (CIMIF) and Cambodia International Textile and Garment Industry Exhibition (CTG) are attended by exhibitors from 15 countries showcasing a broad range of innovative products and versatile solutions.
CIMIF is the most comprehensive exhibition in Cambodia, covering plastic, packaging, printing, agriculture, auto part and accessories, machine tools, hardware and tools, energy and electricity engineering, and lighting.
CTG, on the other hand, is the only trade fair dedicated to the textile and garment industry in Cambodia, featuring al the crucial aspects of the industry, such as textile machinery and accessories, apparel machinery and accessories, fibers, filaments, yarn, and fabrics.

With numerous quality international exhibitor, trade visitors can easily locate optimal suppliers of whatever products they need in the sectors through this one-stop business trading event,
“The main purpose of organizing the event is to boost industrial development and attract foreign investors in Cambodia, particularly to create opportunities to manufacturers in improve better or change old types of machinery, finding new cooperation and business opportunities,” Mr Senghout said in an opening speech in the event on Thursday.
“The fair will help entrepreneurs to learn new latest technology and machinery. This point will help them to gain knowledge about the industry to develop themselves,” Mr Senghout said.
John Cha, the executive committee member of the Garment Manufacturers Association of Cambodia (GMAC), said the GMAC always encourages member factories to continue investing in latest machines and technology that are available in the markets to further improve more productivity and enhance competitiveness.
“The year exhibition comes at the juncture when the industry is facing challenges of rising labor costs, lack of productivity level, and increase digitization of the end of the age of industry 4.0,” Mr John Cha said.
“By in cooperating the latest digital technology, we not only will be able to enhance productivity and quality, but we will also be able to communicate seamlessly with buyers and other networks…and be able to respond to the market very quickly and that will be more competitive.”
Co-organized by Ministry of Industry and Handicraft, Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, and GMAC, Yorkers Trade and Marketing Service Co Ltd, and officially sponsored by Ministry of Commerce, the fair this year is the eighth of its kind held in Phnom Penh.
