Several injured in kindergarten explosion in eastern China

Several people were injured in an explosion at a kindergarten in Xuzhou City in eastern China's Jiangsu Province on Thursday afternoon, local media reported.

The incident happened as children were waiting to be picked up after school.

Several people, including minors, were wounded in the explosion.

Local authorities have launched rescue work and an investigation into the cause of the blast is underway.
