Spaniard Rodrigo named Vietnam's national futsal team coach

Miguel Rodrigo of Spain has started to work as head coach of Vietnam's national futsal team in the 2017-2020 period.

Rodrigo, 50, is expected to lead the national squad to top four in Asia and to the final round of the 2020 Futsal World Cup, the Vietnam Football Federation said on Sunday, adding that the team should perform well at the approaching Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in August in Malaysia.

Before working in Vietnam, Rodrigo coached futsal clubs in Russia, Spain and Italy, and national teams of Japan and Thailand.
