India's Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi said on Thursday that there can be no talks with Pakistan until alleged Pakistan- perpetrated violence against India has stopped.

In an interview with local TV cannel Times Now, Modi said: "To have a reasonable discussion, first the blasts and gunshots have to stop. There can be no talks till all this comes to an end."

"If the country's government is strong, then the solutions will be found automatically," he added.

India has resumed talks with Pakistan on peace building issues between the two countries after they were suspended after the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

However, India has repeatedly accused Pakistan of ceasefire violations at the Line-of-Control in Kashmir and infiltrating militants into Indian-controlled Kashmir.
