APD | France to help develop Siem Reap’s tourism master plan

PHNOM PENH, July 3 (APD) -- A French university and an organization from the country has engaged in providing information to help develop tourism master plan in Siem Reap city, aiming to develop province more attractive for tourist as the city homes to Angkor Archaeological Park in the Kingdom.

Ministry of Tourism and Université Toulouse 1 Capitole together with Acting for life organization from France conducted a consultative workshop which France parties helped providing technical matter for the master plan inputs.

In early March this year, the government issued a sub-degree to create ‘Supreme Tourism Area’ in potential provinces for tourism sector which was described as areas that have accommodation, food and beverage services, entertainment complexes, sports facilities, gardens, parks, health care centres, and other tourism-related facilities.
