Prince Albert II of Monaco recovers from coronavirus infection

Prince Albert II of Monaco has recovered from COVID-19 infection, the Prince's Palace of Monaco announced on Tuesday.

"The doctor who follows Prince Albert II since the beginning of his COVID-19 infection allowed him to end the period of quarantine on Tuesday. The sovereign prince is declared cured and in good health," said the Palace in a statement.

The prince will continue to respect the confinement rules and stay in close contact with his government and collaborators, it added.

The Prince's Palace of Monaco announced on March 19 that Prince Albert II had tested positive for COVID-19.

Prince Albert said in mid-March in a televised address to the nation that Monaco was in its worst health crisis and announced national confinement.
