China's Chang'e-5 probe to execute soft landing on the moon

The Chang'e-5 probe's lander-ascender combination separated from its orbiter-returner combination at 4:30 a.m. BJT on Sunday, according to an announcement from the China National Space Administration (CNSA) on Monday.

The lander-ascender combination will execute a soft landing on the moon to collect the country's first samples from an extraterrestrial body.
