Migrants staying at the transport and logistics center near the Bruzgi border point at the the border of Belarus and Poland rested and received food on Monday. Belarus’ leader Alexander Lukashenko said Monday that the European Union was refusing to discuss the future of the 2,000 migrants stranded in Belarus wishing to be accepted into Europe.

The European Union has accused Belarus of flying in thousands of people from the Middle East and pushing them to cross into Poland, Lithuania and Latvia in response to European sanctions.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki warned Sunday that the migrant crisis on the border could be a prelude to “something much worse.”
