**JAKARTA, May 26 (APD) ** – Indonesian police’s anti-terror squad of Special Detachment 88 (Densus 88) arrested 3 men on Friday as international terrorist group Islamic State (IS) has openly claimed responsible over the attacks that killed the perpetrators, 3 police and left at least ten others injured.

The IS claim was made through its media, Amaq News Agency and eventually quoted by Turkish Radio and Television World (TRTWorld.com) on Friday.

The IS media said that attacks against police on May 24 in Jakarta, Indonesia were conducted by “part of IS fighters”.

Meanwhile, Indonesian police’s arrests against the 3 persons were conducted in areas around West Java province’s capital city of Bandung earlier in the day without retaliation, West Java Police headquarters Spokesperson Yusri Yunus said.

The arrests against the tree men were following revelation of the bombing identities.

Yusri said the arrested three were identified as J, W and A, adding that they had roles that led to the attacks that occurred on Wednesday night in Kampung Melayu bust terminal.

“They were arrested in three different places comprised of Cisarua, Margasari and Dayeuh Kolot,” Yusri said, referring to areas in Bandung and its outskirt area.

Further investigation process against them was underway at present to find out their exact roles in the attacks, Yusri said.

Previously on Thursday, Indonesian police managed to identify the attacks perpetrators, namely Solihin and Ichwan Nur Salam. The latter one stayed in Bandung.

They detonated assembled bombs near the crowding police who were about to secure a Muslim parade procession to welcome fasting month of Ramadan in the attack scene.

The assembled bombs were packed in pressure cookers stashed in their backpacks, containing nails and metal balls.

The suicidal bombers detonated the bombs in somewhat coordinated pattern with the first one exploded around 9.00 p.m. and the second one in 5 minutes later. Analysts said it was intended to maximize the fatalities of the attacks.

Identification over the suspects was related to police’s finding on a receipt paper from the mangled body of a perpetrator. The receipt was a proof for the purchase of a pressure cooker from a minimarket in town of Padalarang, near Bandung.

Police suspected the Wednesday’s attacks were linked to homegrown radical group of Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) for the similar bombing technique and the target.

Police previously failed bombing attempts using pressure cooker bombs carried out by cells linked to JAD in Bandung and Bekasi, West Java. The cell arrested in Bekasi planned to attack presidential palace using female suicide bomber late last year.

JAD is a terrorist group based in Indonesia, formed in 2015, constituted several extremist groups which had stated their allegiance to terrorist group Islamic State (IS).

Its ideological leader, Aman Abdurrahman, is now jailed in Indonesia’s high security prison of Nusakambangan in Central Java province.

Members of JAD launched attacks against an American café and police post in Central Jakarta in January last year that killed 4 of the perpetrators, 4 civilians and injured 24 others including from the police.

The Jakarta deadly attack in January 2016 was claimed by IS as its first open attacks in Southeast Asia region.
