Iran's Foreign Ministry on Friday slammed the stances of the United States and its European allies on the country's recent satellite launch as an "interference" in the Islamic Republic's internal affairs.

The Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abbas Mousavi said that the "successful" launch of the Noor 1 (Light 1) satellite into orbit is a source of pride for Iranians, stressing that scientific and technological advances, especially in the field of aerospace, are the Iranian nation's right.

Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Wednesday announced the "successful" launch of the military Noor 1 satellite into space.

The U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Iran should "to be held accountable" for the launch, which he said violated a UN Security Council resolution.

France and Germany also criticized Iran's launch of a military satellite into space, calling Iran's move "unacceptable."

Mousavi said that such interventions would certainly not disrupt the Iranian nation's determination to progress.
