Jin Liqun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, told CGTN anchor Zou Yue at the "Dialogue with Thinkers: Path to Carbon Neutrality" Boao TV forum that people looked at carbon emissions as a kind of trade-off, which means either you emit or you slow down the economy. This trade-off concept has been deeply embedded in the mindset of a lot of people. That mindset has adversely affected the efforts to promote or internationalize efforts to promote investment for transition from high carbon to low carbon to zero carbon. We should try to turn this trade-off into mutual enforcement, which means investment in clean energy. Investment in the transition from high carbon to zero carbon would promote growth, rather than slow it down.
