Time to test sincerity of relevant parties in DPRK issue, says Wang Yi

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Tuesday that it is time to test the sincerity of all parties involved in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) issue, noting that whenever the situation on the Korean Peninsula cools down, disturbance re-emerges.

Wang made the remarks during an interview with Hong Kong-based Phoenix Television, after he concluded a four-country trip in Africa.

"Concerning the Korean Peninsula situation, calm is better than tension and dialogue is better than confrontation," he stressed.

"It's our common goal to realize the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula," he maintained, adding that both the international community and China have an unwavering stand on it.
