Prez. Bhandari embarks on a four-day-visit to Qatar

KATHMANDU, Oct 29 -- President Bidya Devi Bhandari left for Qatar on a four-day visit today at the invitation of the Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar.

The visit is expected to focus on strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries. Meanwhile, some agreements would be signed during the visit, reports said.

Besides areas of trade expansion between Nepal and Qatar, discussions will be held regarding security and concerns of Nepali migrant workers in Qatar. Likewise, discussions would also be held about bringing in investment and technology to Nepal from Qatar in sectors like agriculture and infrastructure development.

Likewise, discussion would be held to operate direct flights between the two countries.
