At least one person was killed and four civilians injured in an explosion that rocked the Qabel Bai area of the Afghan capital Kabul on Friday, AFP reported citing the country's interior ministry.
The blast took place along the Kabul-Jalalabad road at about 08:50 a.m. local time after explosives in a vehicle that belonged to a company of foreign contractors detonated, according to the spokesman of Interior Ministry Najib Danish.
The blast reportedly targeted a convoy of foreign forces which was passing through the area.
Ambulances have already arrived at the scene and the four injured civilians have been transferred to hospitals. A police investigation is underway.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the incident.
