Belarus receives more anti-COVID-19 supplies from China

A cargo plane carrying over 50 tons of medical supplies from China arrived in Belarus on Sunday, which will help the country fight COVID-19, the health ministry said.

The supplies collected by Belarusian and Chinese companies include protective equipment, medicines and disinfectants, which will be immediately transferred to the health ministry, it said.

Belarus confirmed 9,590 cases in the country as of Saturday after it reported its first infection on Feb. 28.

To help Belarus tackle the epidemic, China has provided two batches of medical supplies to the country on April 1 and April 15, according to the Chinese Embassy in Minsk.
