An online platform selling farm produce from poverty-stricken counties in China has ramped up efforts to promote sales amid the novel coronavirus outbreak.

The online platform, set up by China's largest cooperative organization, has rolled out a specific service to help sell produce stock to ease the pressure for farmers in poor areas.

Fast-track registration, logistics support and match-making services will be offered to those in need, according to the All-China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives.

The move is part of the country's broader efforts to push ahead with poverty alleviation while fighting the epidemic.

The digital marketplace seeks to connect the agricultural products from the country's 832 poor counties with government purchasing channels. Suppliers from 435 poor counties have registered on the platform since it opened for operation in January.
