Chadian army strikes Boko Haram's Nigerian bases after suicide attack

The Chadian air force carried out strikes Wednesday on a Boko Haram bases in Nigeria, in retaliation for a double suicide bombing attacks in N'Djamena, according to a statement.

The strikes destroyed six bases of the Islamist sect and killed dozens of militants, said the statement released by Chadian army on Thursday.

Two simultaneous attacks on Monday in N'Djamena, capital of Chad, killed at least 37 people , including four suicide bombers, and around one hundred people were wounded.

Although nobody claimed responsibility for the attacks, the Chadian government considered that Boko Haram was behind.

The Chadian army has undertaken military operations against Boko Haram in Cameroon, Nigeria and Niger since January. Enditem
