China, Russia pledge to deepen security collaboration

China and Russia have pledged to deepen security cooperation during a meeting between Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo and Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev in Beijing.

The two countries pledged to maintain frequent high-level interactions and deepen pragmatic cooperation.

They also promised to support each other's efforts to safeguard sovereignty, security and development interests.

The two sides vowed to strengthen strategic coordination on major international and regional issues to safeguard peace and mutual interests.
