Chinese mainland reports 125 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland recorded 125 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Sunday, with 94 being local transmissions and 31 from overseas, the latest data from the National Health Commission showed on Monday.

In addition, 39 new asymptomatic cases were recorded, while 532 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

This brings the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 93,826, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 12,013 (11,725 recoveries, 212 deaths)

Macao: 63 (57 recoveries)

Taiwan: 15,782 (13,066 recoveries, 809 deaths)
