South Korean President Moon Jae-in will visit the United States at the end of June for talks with President Donald Trump.

The White House says it's seeking to increase economic cooperation and to discuss ways to strengthen their alliance.

The two leaders will also discuss issues related to the DPRK, including countering its nuclear and missile program.

Trump and Moon are expected to review the deployment of the controversial THAAD anti-missile system, which has caused mass protests in South Korea and condemnation from neighbouring countries.
