Xi hails high-speed rail development during Winter Olympics inspection

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday hailed the development of the country's high-speed railway as a successful example of China's independent innovation.

Xi made the remarks after he arrived at a high-speed railway station in Zhangjiakou, north China's Hebei Province, during his inspection trip to Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics venues.
