Chinese mainland reports 7 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland recorded seven new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, five from overseas and two reported in east China's Anhui Province, data from the National Health Commission (NHC) showed on Friday.

No new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported on Thursday, the NHC said.

Twenty-two new asymptomatic cases were recorded, while 328 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 90,815, with the death toll remaining at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,817 (11,511 recoveries, 210 deaths)

Macao: 49 (49 recoveries)

Taiwan: 1,256 (1,102 recoveries, 12 deaths)
