China-Pakistan relations are known ideal in terms of International relations. Since establishing formal diplomatic ties on May 28, 1951, the relationship has built on the strength of its successive achievements and has become formidable with each passing day and year. The leadership of both countries is committed to taking this relationship forward.

The bilateral relationship between the two neighboring countries is characterized by feelings of mutual trust, respect, and goodwill towards each other. There is a regular exchange of visits and consultations at the highest level between the two countries. The strategic cooperation between Pakistan and China has grown over the past several decades.

Both countries share similar views on regional and international issues and never had any dispute or differences. Pakistan supports Chinese views on Taiwan, Tibet, Xinjiang, and Hong Kong, whereas China supports Pakistan on Kashmir, Afghanistan, etc.

On regional issues, both countries enjoy identical views on the South China Sea, Middle-East, SCO, BRI, etc. On international concerns, there exists complete harmony like globalization, WTO, Multilateralism, UN, Global Peace, and Security, etc.

Consultation between the two countries is a matter of routine, and both countries meet each other frequently on various issues to build consensus. Pakistan and China have several Consultation mechanisms, including Strategic Dialogue at Foreign Ministers' level, Political Consultations at the foreign secretary/vice-meister level; consultations on South Asia, Arms Control, Counter-terrorism; Human Rights; Peacekeeping; Maritime Dialogue; Border management consultations, and Consular affairs.

On April 8, 2021, Mr. Yang Tao, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences of the Foreign Ministry of China, and Mr. Usman Iqbal Jadoon, Director-General (United Nations) of the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan jointly chaired the 3rd Round of China-Pakistan Consultations on the United Nations Affairs by video conference. The Embassy of China in Pakistan, the Embassy of Pakistan in China, and the Permanent Missions of China and Pakistan to the United Nations in New York and Geneva also attended the meeting.

Views were exchanged on a wide range of multilateral issues of mutual interest covering all major areas of the United Nations' work.

Both sides agreed to:

Firmly safeguard multilateralism and support the central role of the United Nations in international affairs.

Strengthen their cooperation on the United Nations and other multilateral platforms and support each other on each side's core and primary interests.

Work toward the political and peaceful resolution of regional and international hotspot issues and jointly safeguard the world's peace and stability, especially in Asia.

Continue to strengthen cooperation on counter-terrorism and peacekeeping in the UN framework by addressing the issue of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, and supporting the UN peacekeeping operations, to make more significant contributions to the maintenance of international and regional Peace and security.

Consolidate strategic coordination in the field of human rights, jointly opposing "double standards" and the politicization of human rights issues, and work for the promotion and protection of all human rights in a cooperative manner.

As a matter of fact, China and Pakistan are partners in promoting Peace and stability in the region as well as globally. China is a permanent member of the United National Security Council (UNSC), and responsible state, and understands its global obligations. China is a peace-loving nation and promoting Peace. China has not fought any big ballet or war for the last four decades almost and focused only on peaceful developments. China set aside all disputes and disagreements with all other countries and dedicated to peaceful developments and rise only. As a result of the Chincse policy of Peace, it has developed as the second-largest economy in the world.

Pakistan is also a peace-loving nation and has been contributing to the UN peace missions out of proportionately. Pakistan's role in the Afghan peace process is acknowledged Internationally. Pakistan's role in the Middle East for maintaining Peace is also well admired.

China and Pakistan are promoting harmony, understanding, and Peace unitedly. By joint efforts, we can make a visible difference in the region as well as globally. It emphasizes that China-Pakistan relations are not against any third country and should not be considered a threat to any other country.
