How a special task force led the battle against COVID-19 in Wuhan

In order to efficiently combat COVID-19, the Chinese central government, taking instructions from President Xi Jinping, made a series of policy decisions throughout the year. That included establishing a Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism. And soon after Wuhan's lockdown, President Xi sent the central steering group, led by the nation's vice-premier, to Wuhan to oversee the fight against the virus. The central steering group offered key contribution to moving supplies across China to aid Hubei as well as sending information from the worst-hit region to Beijing.
