What to know about World Immunization Week

Vaccines prevent more than 20 life-threatening diseases like diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, influenza and measles by training your immunize system to effectively fight infections. Immunization saves 2 to 3 million lives a year, but nearly 20 million infants each year still have insufficient access to shots.
