Saudi Arabia announces 157 new COVID-19 cases

Saudi Arabia announced on Wednesday 157 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 1,720. The Health Ministry Spokesperson Mohammed Al-Abd Al-Aali said that one of the new cases was travel-linked, while the rest were in contact with the previous cases, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

He announced six new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths to 16. All cases are receiving treatment and remain stable, except 30 cases in the intensive care units.

He noted that 264 cases have been recovered.

Sami Al-Shwerikh, security spokesperson of the Public Security, urged all segments of society to stay at home if there is no need to go outside in light of heavy presence of people in the markets and gatherings.
