Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said here Thursday that his maiden India visit will clear the misunderstanding between the two neighbors and bring the Indo-Nepal friendship on track.

Briefing the press here about his six-day official India visit starting Friday, PM Oli said that the government doesn't have any specific agendas or proposals to be made during his visit.

"This visit is being organized amid the complex circumstances so the major objective is to clear a few misunderstandings surfaced between the two neighbors in the last few months and taking the bilateral ties to a new height," the Prime Minister said.

Turning down the speculations about agreement on various pending projects, PM Oli stressed on creating a favorable and trustworthy environment for strengthening the historic tie for implementation of development projects.

Oli's visit comes at a time when Nepal is struggling to get back to normal from the months-long Madhes agitation and unofficial Indian blockade that led to a fuel crisis, which crippled the Nepalese lives.

The Prime Minister said that the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is an initiation to take the friendship to a new height on the basis of mutual respect and co-existence.

Briefing about the months-long Madhes unrest, Oli said that the issue will be resolved only through dialogue. "A high-level political body will be formed by this evening to resolve the disputable issues", PM said.

The Nepali head of the government, who is embarking on India visit with a 46-member jumbo delegation, further said that no agreement against the national welfare will be made during his visit.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Prime Minister will hold an official meeting with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on Feb. 20. He will also pay a courtesy calls on Indian President Pranab Mukherjee and Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari.

This is the first foreign visit of Prime Minister Oli after his appointment as the government head last October. He will return to Nepal on Feb. 24.
