Finland increases its funding for WHO

The Finnish government announced on Wednesday that it decided to increase Finnish funding for the World Health Organization (WHO).

Finland is restoring its funding to WHO back to the levels of 2015, the cabinet decided on Wednesday. The Prime Minister's office defined the sum as 5.5 million euros (6 million U.S. dollars).

In 2019, Finland's basic contribution to WHO was 1.9 million euros and it provided 0.75 million euros in program support. In addition, Finland made other membership-based contributions to WHO bodies totaling 0.9 million euros in 2019, the government said in a statement. (1 euro = 1.09 U.S. dollars)
