Myanmar, Japan to cooperate in construction industry

Myanmar Constructors Association and Japan-Myanmar Association for Industry of Housing and Urban Development will cooperate in housing development, production of building, materials and construction sector, according to the association Tuesday.

Both sides have signed a Memorandum of Understanding over the last three days.

The cooperation will focus on production and import of building materials, and housing development in the country.

The JMHU will also assist with human resources development in Myanmar.

Myanmar's construction industry draws international interest mainly from Japan, Vietnam, China, South Korea, Thailand and Singapore, according to the association. Enditem
