Hospitals in California face challenges as COVID-19 cases surge

Every four seconds, another California resident gets infected by COVID19. That's according to the latest infection rate released on Friday, with a record number of more than 35,000 cases in a single day. The state has also broken new records with over 12,000 people hospitalized and over 2,600 patients in intensive care, highest since the beginning of the pandemic.
