Tokyo's Ueno Zoo's 11-year-old giant panda Shin Shin is showing signs of being pregnant, including increased dozing and reduced appetite.

If Shin Shin is really pregnant she is likely to give birth in early June, but according to the deputy head of the zoo the panda might be experiencing a pseudo-pregnancy.

Shin Shin and her partner Ri Ri came from China in February 2011, and went on view to the public soon after a devastating earthquake and tsunami. The two pandas had a cub in 2012, which died six days after birth due to pneumonia.

Ever since their arrival, these two cuddly giant pandas have been a big hit for tourists and visitors.
