Israeli-Palestinian violence escalates

Israeli-Palestinian violence in Gaza is escalating. Israeli airstrikes brought down a high-rise building in Gaza City. Since Monday, at least 53 Palestinians, including 14 children have been killed, according to Palestinian officials. Six Israelis were also killed.

One soldier was killed in the attack, according to the Israeli army. This is the first death reported by the Israeli military after three days of fighting with Hamas.

Hamas says Israeli airstrike killed their commander in Gaza City, the highest-ranking official killed since the 2014 war.
