Huawei's CFO Meng Wanzhou appears in court in Canada. Her lawyer said the Canada's arrest of Meng is an abuse of process, arguing that it is a politically motivated decision, an illegal detention, a false statement and a breach against the customary international law.

Meng's arrest at the Vancouver airport in 2018 has severely strained Canadian relations with China.
