U.S.-China relations in 2020, a year in review

This year a bad one for U.S. China relations - despite a trade deal U.S. finger-pointing over COVID-19, moves to contain China’s technological advances and tensions from the Taiwan region to Xinjiang led to a souring of ties not seen on decades.

With a new U.S. administration set to take office in 2021 there are hopes that the 50th anniversary of former U.S. secretary of state, Henry Kissinger’s first visit to China could lead to a thaw. CGTN’s Nathan King reports from The White House.
