"Thereachandsupplychainsofterrorismareglobal;butgenuinecooperationbetweennationstatesisnot,"hesaid.

"Nuclearsecuritymustremainanabidingnationalpriority.AllStatesmustcompletelyabidebytheirinternationalobligations,"thePMsaid.

ThePrimeMinisterhighlightedthreecontemporaryfeaturesofterrorismthatneededworld'simmediateattention.

"First,today'sterrorismusesextremeviolenceastheatre,"thePMsaid.

"Second,wearenolongerlookingforamaninacave,butwearehuntingforaterroristinacitywithacomputerorasmartphone,"hesaid.

"Third,Stateactorsworkingwithnucleartraffickersandterroristspresentthegreatestrisk,"PMModisaid.

PMModisaidthatBrusselsterrorattacksshowhowrealandimmediateisthethreattonuclearsecurityfromterrorism.HesaidPresidentObamahasdonegreatservicetoglobalsecuritybyputtingspotlightonnuclearsecurity.
