60,000 S.Korean switch carriers to buy Samsung's new smartphone

Almost 60,000 mobile phone users switched carriers over two days to buy Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 smartphone.

Mobile industry insiders on Sunday said 35,558 switched carriers on Friday and 22,346 on Saturday.

That was two or three times more than usual when a new phone comes out, and about 10,000 more than when the Galaxy S7 smartphone was released in March.
