People from all over the world are making wishes as the year of 2018 is around the corner. Notably, the "18-year-old game" goes viral on social media across China. Users from Wechat (Facebook-like app) and Weibo (Twitter-like app) are taking an active part in posting their 18-year-old photos on Wechat or Weibo to recall the best time of their golden age.

It is said that there are two main statements about the "18-year-old game" . One is people in China want to use their 18-year-old pictures to make wishes for the upcoming year. They can recognize that 18 is the last two numbers of the year of 2018.

Another is that the last group of post-90s generation (people who were born in 1999)

are going to enter the adult world, which means the golden age (18-year-old) of all group of post-90s generation will "fade away," and the group of post-00s will take their places as being "young in vigor." Therefore, they figure out a way - posting their 18-year-old photos on social media to cherish the last minutes of being a teenager before being an adult .
