The travel bubble between China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and Singapore has been postponed again amid a spike of COVID-19 cases in the Southeast Asian city-state, the HKSAR said on Monday

The agreement for quarantine-free air travel between Hong Kong and Singapore was scheduled to begin on May 26.

The two governments will continue to closely monitor the pandemic situation in both places, and a further announcement will be made on or before June 13, a spokesman for the HKSAR said in a statement.

Singapore reported 38 new locally transmitted cases on Sunday, the highest number in a single day since mid-September.
