The 504-km-long grand canyon starts in Mainling County and ends in Medog County.
With a maximum depth of 6,009 meters, the canyon features rich unique species and plateau scenery.
It is the largest water vapor transmission channel on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
The canyon thus becomes an area with the largest precipitation on the plateau.
